Grandcentral

I'll bet these guys will be acquired by the end of 2007. Thank god for startups because the big mega corp telecoms would take the next 50 years to come up with this. More from Pogue and O'Reilly.

Grandcentral is pretty cool. Not only will they e-mail your voice mail to you, but also they transcribe the voice mail (voice -> text). Pretty darn convenient.

The only problem is that they give you yet another telephone number. That has kept me from using them much. I suspect I might use them more at the point where I lose a phone number (because I move or change cell phone providers).
