Interesting quote

|
Read an interesting piece on The Education of Robert Kennedy in the NYTs this weekend. After his brother was shot, he was devastated. A book that helped him come out of his depression was The Greek Way, recommended to him by Jackie Kennedy, containing essays from Athenian history. One quote he memorized by Aeschylus on perseverance read:
God, whose law it is that he who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget, falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despite, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.
Got the book on order from the library.
