ETech - Emerging Massive Media

|
Paula Le Dieu, about media orgs like the BBC becoming massive
Massive media, competes with their audiences for attention. How is massive media responding to changes in the way people manage and interact with content? Compared Dr. Who leak (tried to cover it up) to how scifi handled Battlestar Galactica preview where fans could watch the entire first episode, uncut and with director's commentary.

BCC creative archive - BBC will not wrap DRM around any of their content, implement creative commons license, will eventually allow P2P for distribution, want to allow users to add meta data to programs. I'm really amazed at how forward thinking the BBC is as an organization in comparison to their American media counterparts.
